Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Wonderix Co., Ltd. ("Wonderix", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Wonderix app for iPad, our website (wonderix.com), our early-access waitlist, and related services (together, the "Service"). Wonderix is a game-based learning service: we turn learning concepts into games that children play and think through themselves, set up and overseen by a parent or guardian. We built the Service with children's privacy laws in mind, including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the GDPR's protections for children.
1. Who We Are
The Service is operated by Wonderix Co., Ltd. (玩得科技股份有限公司), a company registered in Taiwan. Wonderix is the only operator that collects or keeps children's personal information through the Service. You can reach us here:
- Address: 9F., No. 33, Sec. 2, Zhongshan N. Rd., Zhongshan Dist., Taipei City 104004, Taiwan
- Representative: Chou Ching Cheng, CEO
- Phone: +1 802-962-6832
- Email: support@wonderix.com
2. The Short Version
Here is what matters most. The sections below explain each point.
- A parent or guardian signs in and agrees to our data practices before a child plays.
- For each child we keep a nickname (please don't use your child's real name), an avatar (a felt-doll character your child builds from ready-made pieces, not a photo), a few settings, and what they do in our games.
- We never collect your child's voice, photos, location, contacts, or birthday, and children can't chat with anyone or post anything others can see.
- Every line a character speaks is written and recorded ahead of time; nothing in our games is generated by an AI model while your child plays.
- We don't sell personal information, we don't show ads to children, and we don't track your child across other apps or websites.
- You can see how your child is doing in the app, and you can ask us to delete your child's data or your whole account at any time.
3. Our Website and Waitlist
Our website and waitlist are for parents, guardians, and other adults. If you join the waitlist, we keep the email address you give us and the type of browser you used, and we use the email only to write to you about Wonderix. To keep automated sign-ups out, the form uses a bot check service, which receives your IP address and browser information to check that a person is filling it in. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children through the website, so please don't enter a child's information there.
4. Information We Collect in the App
With a parent's or guardian's consent, we collect the following.
- Parent or guardian account. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and an account identifier from that company, plus your profile picture if you use Google. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we receive Apple's relay address instead. Accounts we set up ourselves, such as review and test accounts, sign in with an email address and password.
- Child profile. A nickname (we ask you not to use your child's real name), an avatar your child builds from ready-made pieces, and settings such as language and sound levels.
- Play. Which games your child plays, the moves they try, the hints a game gave, the levels they finish, their saved game, and when they played. We use this to run the games, let your child pick up where they left off, and show you how they're doing.
- Consent record. When you agreed to our data practices and which version you agreed to.
- Purchases. If you subscribe through the App Store, Apple sends us a signed record of the transaction (the product, dates, and a transaction number) so we can unlock the games. We never receive your payment card details.
- Requests you send us. If you ask us to delete your account, we keep the request, your email address, and how you sign in, so we can complete it and write back to you.
- Technical data. Our servers keep standard logs (such as IP address, device and browser type, and the time of each request) to keep the Service running and secure.
- What we don't collect. We never collect your child's voice. The app doesn't ask for microphone access and never records or listens; your child plays by tapping the screen. The app also doesn't ask for access to the camera, photos, contacts, or location.
5. How We Use Information
We use information only to:
- Run the Service: sign you in, set up child profiles, run the games, and save progress.
- Show you what your child played and what each game works on.
- Process subscriptions and restore purchases.
- Keep the Service safe and reliable, fix problems, and improve our games and how they teach. For this we analyze what children do in play, for example where they get stuck and which hints help, including to develop our own teaching models.
- Answer your questions and requests, and send you important notices about the Service.
6. Characters in Our Games
Games can include a character that talks with your child during play. Characters aren't people. Every line a character speaks is written and recorded ahead of time, so nothing a character says is generated while your child plays, and your child can't chat with a character.
7. Children's Privacy
Wonderix is made for children, and we built it around their privacy:
- Parental consent first. A parent or guardian signs in, reads what we collect, and agrees before a child plays. When our practices change in a way that matters, we ask again before the child keeps playing.
- Only what's needed. We collect only what a game needs to run and to save progress.
- No selling, no ads, no tracking. We never sell or rent children's personal information, never use it for advertising, and never show children third-party ads. The app has no third-party analytics or tracking tools.
- Identifiers on the device. The app keeps a sign-in session and a note of which child is playing, and it holds your child's saved game and recent play on the device until they reach our servers. We use these only to keep you signed in, run the games, and save progress, never to track your child across other apps or websites.
- Limited sharing. We share children's information only with the service providers listed in section 8, who process it for us to run the Service, or where the law requires it.
- Parents stay in control. You can review your child's information, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw your consent at any time, which stops any further collection. See section 12.
- Children in the EU, EEA, and UK. Our lawful basis for processing a child's personal data is the consent of the holder of parental responsibility.
8. Who We Share Information With
We don't sell personal information. We share it only with the service providers below, who run parts of the Service for us. Each of them may use the information only on our instructions and under terms that require them to protect it at least as well as this policy does. We also share information where the law requires it or to protect the safety of our users and the Service. A child's play is visible to the parent or guardian who set up the child's profile.
- Database and sign-in service: receives parent accounts, child profiles, play records, consent records, and purchase records.
- Cloud hosting: our servers, file storage, content delivery, and logs. All information the app sends us passes through these servers.
- Google (Sign in with Google): if you choose it, Google handles the sign-in and sends us your name, email address, profile picture, and an account identifier.
- Apple (Sign in with Apple and the App Store): if you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple handles the sign-in. Apple also handles all App Store payments and sends us signed transaction records.
- Website hosting: hosts our website and runs the bot check on the waitlist form. Receives website visitors' IP addresses and browser information.
9. Where Information Is Stored
We and our service providers store and process information in Japan (our database), Taiwan (our app servers), and the United States (sign-in, payments, voice and AI services). Some cloud services, such as Google Cloud and Cloudflare, may process information in other countries that cannot be fixed in advance. Where the law requires it, for example for people in Japan, we rely on safeguards such as contractual protections for these transfers.
10. How Long We Keep Information
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes below, then delete it using reasonable measures to protect it while we do:
- Parent account, child profiles, and play records: while your family account is open, so your child can pick up where they left off. When you delete your account, or ask us to delete a child's data, we delete it within 30 days. If no one signs in to a family account for 24 months, we delete the account and every child's profile in it.
- Consent records: while your family account is open; deleted with the account.
- App Store purchase records: 7 years after the transaction, to meet our accounting and tax obligations.
- Account deletion requests: we keep a record that a request was received and completed, and remove the email address once we've written back.
- Server logs: 30 days.
- Waitlist emails: until we've told you the app is available and for 3 months after that, or until you ask us to remove you.
11. Security
We protect information with reasonable technical and organizational measures, such as encrypted connections, access limited to the people who need it, and test systems kept separate from the live Service. No way of sending or storing data is completely secure. If a breach affects your family's information, we'll tell you as the law requires.
12. Your Rights and Choices
You can:
- See how your child is doing. In the app, tap Grown-ups on the "Who's playing?" screen.
- Delete your account. In the app, open Settings (the ⚙️ in the games gallery), pass the grown-up check, and choose Delete account. We delete your account and every child's profile in it within 30 days and email you when it's done. Signing out doesn't delete anything.
- Make other requests by email. To delete one child's data, get a copy of it, correct something, or withdraw your consent, email hello@wonderix.com from the address you sign in with. If you withdraw consent, we stop collecting your child's information, and your child can't play until a parent agrees again.
- Manage subscriptions with Apple. A subscription bought through the App Store is managed and cancelled in your Apple account settings. Deleting your Wonderix account doesn't cancel it.
- Use the rights your local law gives you. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict some processing, to receive your data in a portable format, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
13. Google User Data
When you sign in with Google, Wonderix requests the "email", "profile", and "openid" scopes. We use the Google user data we receive solely to create and identify your Wonderix account and to display your name and profile picture within the Service.
Wonderix's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell Google user data. We do not share Google user data with third parties except with the service providers described above who process it on our behalf, or where required by law.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the Service changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and when a change affects how we handle children's information, we'll ask a parent to agree again in the app before the child keeps playing.
15. Contact Us
Questions about this policy or your family's data? Contact Wonderix Co., Ltd. at 9F., No. 33, Sec. 2, Zhongshan N. Rd., Zhongshan Dist., Taipei City 104004, Taiwan, +1 802-962-6832, or support@wonderix.com. We'll reply as soon as we can.
